Where to start....I've had a deva cut in the past and wasn't over the moon about the outcome so I gave up for a few years in finding another curly hair salon. I found A Curl's Best Friend online when searching because it was time, and they were booked for 90 days (understandably so). Fortunately, a day opened up for the next day, and I booked it with Deanna. Let's just say, I will NEVER go to anyone ever again! I was looking for a rezzo cut but never mentioned that to her, i showed her photos, and she was so excited to work on my hair. She is soooo sweet, personable, exciting to work with, and even though the appointment was about 4 hours, I could honestly spend all day with Deanna! I literally cried when she was done because every snip was getting better and better. I was disappointed in myself later, wondering why it took me so long to find her, because this cut was everything I've ever wanted my whole life! Happy tears rolling down my face right now! A curls best friend is so lucky to have Deanna and I'm so lucky to have found her! Thank you for changing my life and making me feel confident in my curls!!!! I cannot say enough about this salon, I wish I came here before. My curly hair consultant was Deanna. I thought to myself 3 hours for new client that seems like a lot, but boy it wasn't enough. Deanna and I consulted on the haircut as we went along and she explained everything she was doing and why. The amount of education I received on how to care for, style and maintain my curly hair and graying hair was priceless. Thank you.

My 12yr old daughter is biracial and has naturally curly hair. I have taken her to various stylist to style her hair, however recently I decided to find her a stylist that specializes in curly hair. I did not think there were curly hair specialist, but to my surprise I found "A Curl's Best Friend" on Yelp. Unfortunately, Cindy was booked until February and my daughter wanted a haircut before resuming school after the Christmas break. Luckily, I received an email that DeAnna was available, so I was able to book an appointment with her before my daughter started back school. DeAnna was extremely patient, kind, thorough, and knowledgeable. The look on my daughter's face when she was finished was priceless! She said, "mom, my curls look so perfect that it looks like I am wearing a wig!" The best part is she is able to manage her hair and wear it naturally due to the instructions that DeAnna taught her. Deanna was the beaut that brought my hair back to life! MY HAIR IS THRIVING OMG I have never gotten so many compliments in my life. My hair looks exactly how it did when she first styled it. I walk differently now I wear my hair down at work actually . I've fallen more in love with myself then before. The curls are definitely holding up full week after wash day! Where do I begin... I'll start by saying, Thank You to Deanna and Cindy for allowing me to be your hair model for the day and for bringing my hair back to life.
Before my appointment with Deanna my hair was dry, dull and just looking frizzy all the time from heat styling too often. I walked in to the salon opened minded and walked out completely inspired. It turns out, I have wavy/curly hair!!
The ladies completely brought my hair back to life. I had my hair trimmed, along with a full detox/ cleanse and deep conditioning. They walked me through every step of styling and caring for my hair and now I look forward to showing my natural hair. They even sent me home with care/styling instructions and samples!!

Deana is awesome! She made my untamable wavy hair almost look curly naturally. I had no idea I had that much curl. She was very knowledgeable and made an easy plan for me which is what I needed for my crazy mornings!
